Hanukkah is a Jewish festival of lights. Another word for Hanukkah is Chanukah. It is very important to you and others because it remembers the rededication of the second Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. This happened very early, in the 160s! Each eight (8) nights of Hanukkah a candle is lit special menorah called a hanukkiyah. Hanukkah can be celebrated by people people ALL over the world if their Jewish.
